Description:

A local independent day and boarding school is now looking for an enthusiastic CCF Contingent Commander to join the team and head up their Combined Cadet Force programme.

The school has a long-standing reputation for outstanding education and pastoral care from nursery through to sixth form; the Independent Schools Inspectorate has given the school top-most scores in all areas and particularly praised pupils’ personal development, self-knowledge, and support for diversity and inclusivity.

The CCF is popular with pupils as a way of developing key leadership and teamwork skills through fun, military-themed activities. As CCF Contingent Commander, you’ll be leading, managing and developing the programme so that it remains a valuable and fulfilling experience for pupils and students.

Cadet training occurs regularly; prominent aspects of your role will involve planning and overseeing these sessions, including ensuring that all applicable safety/control measures and MoD regulations are being followed accordingly by yourself, your staff and your cadets.
