Description:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Cardiac Cath Lab Radiographer. As a Senior Radiographer in Cath Labs, you’ll provide a high level of customer-focussed to our patients and service users through high quality diagnostic radiography.

Band: 7
Hours of work: 37.5 Hours/ week ) 09:00-17:00
Start: ASAP -Minimum 8 weeks
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
Time: 09:00-17:00
£/hr
Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract
Requirements of the Radiographer:
* Angiography specific radiology qualification/certificate (desirable)
* Relevant post-grad experience in an Angiography Lab (essential)
* PAC's Trained (essential)
Qualifications
* BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
* Registration with HCPC (essential)
* Cath Lab Trained
* Recent UK experience working as an Radiographer
* Registered with the HCPC
* Band 7
​Duties & responsibilities:
* Demonstrate highly developed knowledge and skills in a broad range of cardiology, radiology and interventional vascular investigations
* Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Radiation Protection and safety of all staff and patients, as part of Ionising Radiation Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, IR(ME)R and COSHH Regulations compliance;
* Act as a resource within the Cardiac Radiography service to provide professional expertise in the environment of the Cardiac Catheter Lab Department.
* Perform a wide range of standard and complex procedures on adults, as requested by the clinician, in all areas of Cardiac and Vascular Radiography.
* Perform all procedures at independent practitioner level and confidently support any clinical decision making on which the patient’s management is based.
* Prepare equipment ensuring daily checks are carried out on all radiology equipment used in the cardiology department, carrying out day to day troubleshooting.
* Participate in the departments out of hours on call rota.
