Catering Assistant
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £13.28 per hour with a £1 Weekend and Bank Holiday Enhancement
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 7am to 3pm, including alternate weekends

Brainkind is a leading UK charity supporting people with brain injuries through specialist assessment, rehabilitation and care services. We're looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team in Hitchin and help provide high-quality meal services for the people we support.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
* Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
* Keeping kitchen areas clean, safe and hygienic
* Monitoring stock levels and reporting supply requirements
* Reporting equipment faults and maintenance issues
* Supporting the Chef and Head Chef to deliver excellent catering services
* Following food safety, health & safety and organisational procedures
About You
* Previous catering, kitchen or hospitality experience desirable
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks of starting
* A team player with good communication skills
* Reliable, organised and able to follow procedures
