Description:
Manpower is recruiting Catering Assistants to work for our public sector client, the NHS.
Location: Mountain Ash
Contract: Temporary
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week.
Shifts: You will work shifts between the hours of 7.15 am and 6.30 pm across 7 days a week
Hourly rate
£11.45 Weekdays
£16.14 Saturdays and nights
£20.95 Sundays and Bank Holidays
The Role
This position provides an excellent opportunity for you as full training is provided. Working as part of a team you will deliver a catering services to patients, staff, students and visitors ensuring standards and processes are maintained and adhered to in accordance with Food Hygiene Legislation
Main Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction: Provide daily menu choices to the patients and take their order.
Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve meals to patients in accordance with their dietary requirements and restrictions.
Food Hygiene and Safety: Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, preventing foodborne illnesses.
Requirements
Previous experience in catering or a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work to deadlines
Attention to detail and adherence to hygiene and safety standards
Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 (Manpower can support with this)
DBS check (Manpower pays for the cost of this)
