Summary
To assist the chefs to present the highest quality food to staff and visitors in line with standard recipes and food safety guidelines whilst ensuring the highest standards are observed at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assisting with inventory of stock and helped in managing orders
* Ensured the kitchen area was kept hygienic and always sanitized
* Handled delivery of food and drinks to guests
* Prepared and cooked a variety of food items
* Ensured all prepared foods are served and properly labelled
* Disposing of waste and following food safety regulations
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Basic food hygiene certificate
* Experienced in working within catering services
* Previous experience working within a production Kitchen would be advantageous.
* Good communication skills
* Able to complete simple records
* Able to operate machinery after training
* Capable of working without direct supervision
* Knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, COSHH
