Category Manager – Machine Tools / Workholding – Remote – £55,000 + Bonus + Company Car
A leading engineering business is looking for a Category Manager to take ownership of its Machine Optimisation product category, covering Workholding, Toolholding, Metrology, Measuring and Inspection equipment.
This is a remote-based Category Manager position offering a salary of £55,000, an achievable performance-related bonus and a company car.
The Category Manager will be responsible for:
* Developing and delivering the Machine Optimisation category strategy
* Managing product ranges across Workholding, Toolholding, Measuring, Inspection and CNC machine accessories
* Creating category growth plans focused on machining accuracy, efficiency and machine uptime
* Building strong relationships with specialist manufacturers and suppliers
* Negotiating commercial agreements and improving category profitability
* Developing and maintaining the product and category roadmap
* Identifying new products, cross-selling opportunities and emerging technologies
* Working closely with Sales, Marketing and technical teams to develop customer-focused propositions
* Monitoring market developments, competitor activity and machining technology trends
The ideal Category Manager will have:
* Experience within Category Management, Product Management or a commercially focused technical role
* Knowledge of Workholding, Toolholding, Metrology, Measuring and Inspection products
* An understanding of CNC machining, milling, turning or multi-axis manufacturing processes
* Experience working with Machine Tools, cutting tools or industrial engineering products
* The ability to translate technical product benefits into clear commercial value
* Strong supplier management, negotiation and cross-functional communication skills
In return, the Category Manager will receive a salary of £55,000, company car and a highly achievable performance bonus.
