Description:
The role:
Responsible for the interfacing of supporting functions and projects to compile and draft all RFI/RFQ documentation for issuance to the market for vessel requirements.
Evaluate RFQ responses on a Total Cost of Ownership basis to ensure selection of the most appropriate suppliers
Lead commercial and legal negotiations with support from the inhouse or external legal team and ensure contracts are implemented in a manner consistent with the contract terms and conditions
Provide support to monitor key performance indicators of suppliers.
Support our global offshore projects with the drafting of appropriate project procurement strategies
Manage purchase orders, variations orders and invoice workflow
Assist the vendor qualification process with suppliers in the categoryRequirements:
Experience in the maritime world with either a developer or vessel owner with good working knowledge of BIMCO contracting forms
Proven ability to effectively understand commercial risks to minimise impacts to the project
Ability to work to deadlines and adapt quickly to a changing work environment
Strong communication skills in English, both orally and written, additional languages would be advantageous Ability to travel frequently domestically and internationally as required to support delivery of your contracts
