Carrier Manager

Our client is an international e-fulfilment specialist operating across Europe. With automated fulfilment centres, they are an innovative business looking for a Carrier Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will be tasked with fostering and strengthening relationships with first and final mile carrier partners. Emphasis will be placed on enhancing service delivery standards while ensuring competitive pricing within the market. This role requires proficient analytical skills, margin management expertise, and effective negotiation capabilities.
 
Duties

Cultivate and sustain relationships with first and final mile carrier partners to ensure smooth service delivery operations.
Analyse carrier performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in service quality and cost efficiency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align carrier strategies with organisational objectives.
Conduct regular cost analysis and margin management to optimise pricing structures and bolster profitability.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers to secure favourable rates and terms.
Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting logistics and transportation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Serve as the primary liaison for carrier-related enquiries and issue resolution. 
The Candidate

Proven experience in carrier management, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within e-commerce or logistics sectors.
Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to derive actionable insights from data.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency in margin management, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
Demonstrated enthusiasm, drive, and commitment to contributing to a dynamic and growing organization.
Advanced experience with Excel and PowerBI tooling is essential 
Previous experience within Amazon would be an advantage
