Barnsley College was once the first College in South Yorkshire to offer a range of T Levels and we have now been offering the pioneering new qualifications for three years! We are looking for an outstanding Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to teach the next generation of industry professionals. The successful candidate will be based at the Cube construction training centre - a state of the art purpose built for industry skills development facility.

As part of our Joinery team, you will be responsible for delivering Level 2 and Level 3 trade qualifications and the new Site Carpentry T Level. Our new Lecturer will educate the Carpenters and Joiners of the future to ensure competency in a range of practical and theoretical activities, using industry standard materials and methods to complete projects relevant to traditional and modern-day situations. This includes practical sessions on site to develop learner’s skills in traditional roofing, hanging multiple doors including fire regulations, fitting and installing kitchens, safe use of power tools while using all correct safety measures. You will also deliver the under-pinning knowledge in classroom setting whilst developing employability skills in preparation for working in industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced trades professional with occupational competency gained from working in the construction industry.
