Joiner
Duties:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications
- Assemble and install joinery components such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture
- Install hardware and fittings such as hinges, handles, and locks
- Repair or replace damaged joinery components
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure proper installation and finishing of joinery work
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a joiner or similar role
- Proficient in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, planes, and drills
- Familiarity with power tools such as routers, sanders, and nail guns
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
- Understanding of joinery techniques and principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
