Location - Watlington, Oxfordshire
Type - Full-time
Salary - £15-£18 per hour Guaranteed 40 hours per week, usually 60+ hours a week.
Overview:
We are working in conjunction with our client to recruit a skilled and experienced Workshop/Site Exhibition Stand Build Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with a specific focus on building and installing exhibition stands. This role requires a combination of workshop-based fabrication and on-site installation, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication: Construct and assemble exhibition stands, display units, and custom furniture in our workshop, following detailed design specifications and blueprints.
Installation: Travel to various exhibition sites to install and dismantle exhibition stands, ensuring timely and accurate setup.
Maintenance: Perform repairs and modifications on existing exhibition stands and displays as needed.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of all work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations.
Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other team members to achieve project goals.
Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment both in the workshop and on-site.
Skills & Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a carpenter.
Skills: Proficiency in using carpentry tools and machinery, ability to read and interpret technical drawings, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel to various locations as required.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
License: Valid driver’s license is required.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience with other materials such as metal, plastic, and fabric.
Knowledge of current trends and innovations in exhibition stand design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
