Description:

Carpenter role in Brighton (BN1), paying £200 per day, with an immediate start available.This is a remedial fire-door role working within occupied residential properties, and we’re particularly looking for an experienced Carpenter with a strong background in fire-door remedials. The initial works will involve approximately 12 internal fire doors across two units, focusing on repairs and remedial works rather than new door-set installations. This will include routing and fitting new fire strips where required, before moving onto approximately four to six weeks of external fire-barrier and cladding works.We’re looking for a skilled Carpenter who is confident working across both the internal fire-door phase and the external cladding and fire-barrier works.

As a Carpenter, you will be:

Completing remedial works to existing fire doors.
Carrying out repairs and adjustments to fire doors within occupied residential properties.
Routing and fitting new fire strips where required.
Working on approximately 12 internal fire doors, with potential additional communal-area works.
Completing external fire-barrier and cladding works following the internal phase.
Working carefully within occupied residential properties and minimising disruption to residents.
Recording completed works accurately using a digital reporting system.
Following site procedures and tool-control requirements.
Providing and using your own suitable hand and power tools.
Using a trim or flush router to complete fire-strip installation works.
Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe.
Completing works efficiently and to a high standard.I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

Strong experience as a Carpenter, particularly within remedial or fire-door works.
Solid experience carrying out remedial works to existing fire doors.
Experience working within occupied residential properties.
A Blue CSCS card as a minimum requirement.
BM TRADA or FIRAS accreditation, ideally, although this is not essential.
Experience working under an accredited fire-door contractor.
The ability to complete both internal fire-door remedials and external fire-barrier/cladding works.
Their own standard hand and power tools.
Their own trim or flush router – this is essential for the role.
Experience using digital systems to record completed works.
A reliable, careful and professional approach.
Availability to start immediately and work in Brighton.The role is offering:

£200 per day
Approximately six to eight weeks of work in total.
Immediate start available.
Initial internal fire-door remedial works followed by external fire-barrier and cladding works.
All required materials available and stored securely on site.
Single-site project in the BN1 area.
Potential for additional work depending on project requirements.
Consistent work for an experienced Carpenter with the right skill set.
Work within a small occupied residential development.Location & travel
Based in Brighton (BN1), working on a single-site residential project.
You’ll need to be an experienced Carpenter, comfortable working within occupied properties and able to provide your own suitable tools, including a trim or flush router.
