Description:
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and practical Caretaker to join our client’s team. This is a varied, hands-on role, suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep of the premises, carrying out routine maintenance and ensuring any issues are dealt with promptly.
Key responsibilities include:
* General caretaking and maintenance duties across the premises
* Carrying out minor repairs and basic maintenance work
* Monitoring the condition of the building, fixtures and fittings
* Carrying out routine checks and reporting any faults or issues
* Moving furniture, equipment and other items as required
* Ensuring external areas are kept tidy and well maintained
* Assisting with deliveries and contractors when required
* Maintaining a safe and secure environment
* Responding to general maintenance requests
* Supporting with other practical duties as required
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance or similar practical role
* Good general DIY and maintenance skills
* A practical, hands-on approach
* The ability to work independently and use initiative
* Good organisational and communication skills
* A reliable and flexible attitude
* Awareness of health and safety requirements
This is a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same, and would suit someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in keeping a property running smoothly
