Careers Advisor/Coach
Oldham & Rochdale
£25,749.72
Full-time/Part-time, Temporary (until end March 2025 - potential to extend)
We are recruiting for Careers Advisors/Coaches who will support to young people with impartial careers advice and guidance to help move them from NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) in to sustainable education or employment.
You will work with a caseload of customers delivering advocacy services, and information/advice to address their personal challenges/barriers to education, employment, and life. You will meet customers across Oldham and Rochdale and you will help them to improve their chances of becoming EET (In Employment, Education or Training) at each intervention you will set SMART Action Plans and you will regularly review progress with each young person.
You will contract with each customer, connect them with learning, mentoring and opportunities to increase their skills and you will mentor them throughout the intervention helping them apply for jobs, courses, and apprenticeships. You will be skilled across all aspects of youth engagement, you will have a good understanding of the landscape and the opportunities available to help young people in to education, training, or employment.
Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be a vehicle driver with access to your own vehicle and you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
