Role: Care Support Worker
Location: Manchester
The role holder will work as part of the Supported Accommodation team providing support to learning disabled adults living in ordinary houses in the community either on a permanent basis or with the Short Breaks service..
The role holder will provide practical and emotional support to customers that will promote independence and will assist and support other involved parties, to ensure positive outcomes for all customers
* Assist in the provision of person centered, high quality support to individuals and groups to maintain and develop daily living skills, enable full participation in a range of activities and assist and support customers to access appropriate community services.
* Provide support and personal assistance to customers to develop and maintain their independence, reporting signs of injury, illness, suspected abuse to the appropriate member of the team.
* Support the provision of practical and personal support to individuals and groups to maintain high levels of hygiene and health and safety.
* Assist in the provision of a stimulating environment for all customers and encourage their participation in the running of the centre, support customers in improving their quality of life and promote independence, well being and choice.
* Assist in new initiatives and future changes in service delivery.
The candidate required PI Training and would be a Grade 2. Medication training not necessary
