Description:

Care Support Worker – Help People Live Their Best Lives Every Day

Saffron Walden | Drivers preferred

Do you want a role where you genuinely make a difference every single day?

At Peabody, we’re looking for a Care Support Worker who brings warmth, energy and compassion to everything they do. This is your opportunity to support people to live independently, confidently and with dignity - making a real impact in a small, supportive setting.

Whether you’re helping with daily routines, encouraging someone to try something new, or simply being a friendly, reassuring presence, your support will help people feel safe, valued and heard.

What you’ll be doing

* Supporting with personal care, health needs and everyday living

* Helping people make choices and express what matters to them

* Encouraging hobbies, independence and community involvement

* Building trusted relationships with families, professionals and colleagues

* Creating a safe, clean and positive environment

* Keeping accurate records and contributing to reviews and team meetings

What we’re looking for

You don’t need extensive experience — what matters most is your attitude.

We’re looking for someone who is:

* Naturally kind, compassionate and patient

* A strong communicator who can build trust

* Resilient, reliable and able to adapt

* Comfortable working as part of a team

* Passionate about helping people live fulfilling lives

Experience in care is helpful, but not essential — we’ll provide training and support.

Important to know

* This is a 24/7 service, including evenings, weekends and overnight (sleep-in) shifts

* The role is based in Saffron Walden, so a driving licence and access to a vehicle are highly desirable

* You’ll join a small, supportive team where your contribution really matters

Why join Peabody?

This is more than just a job - it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful. You’ll help people live the lives they want, while developing your own skills in a supportive, values-led organisation.

If you’re ready to make a difference, apply today with your CV and a short statement telling us why this role is right for you.

Interviews will be held on a rolling basis, with final interviews no later than 22 May 2026
