Amber Mace is currently recruiting for a Registered Home Manager to work within a lovely Medium sized Nursing Home in Gosport. The home caters for elderly residents that require nursing care, some of whom are living with age related conditions.
My client seeks a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic manager to take the helm at their service. You will supervise and lead an established and experienced, friendly multi-disciplinary team and will assist in the recruitment and retention of staff. You must have previous experience as a Registered Care Home Manager or strong experience as a Deputy Home Manager ready for that next step in your career as my client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running bringing with them high standards, a passion for quality care and a nurse pin which is essential for this role.
Job description for Nursing Home Manager:
• Actively filling beds and selling the home
• Assessing, monitoring and evaluating the needs of the residents
• Recruitment and induction of staff
• Manage and supervise the nursing and care team to ensure high standards of care are maintained
• Ensure CQC compliance & Improvement
• Developing links with local authorities and other outside organisations
• Deliver person centred care and oversee all safeguarding issues
The successful candidate for the Nursing Home Manager will possess the following skills/experience:
• Previous experience as a Registered Care Home Manager/Deputy Home Manager
• Active Nurse Pin essential
• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management - desirable
• Strong CQC legislation knowledge
• At least 2 years Elderly/Dementia care experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Ability to lead and manage a team
