JOB TITLE: Care and Support Worker
EMPLOYER: Client through his financial deputy
SUPERVISED/MANAGED BY: Case Manager
LOCATION: Edgware HA8
PAY: Minimum of £18 per hour dependent on experience
HOURS: You will work 12-hour shifts. Minimum of 24 hours per week. But you will need to be able to work flexibly and cover for illness/holiday of the other support workers.

JOB PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity has become available to support a delightful young man in his home. You will work as part of a team and care is provided 2:1.
Your role will involve, attending to their personal care needs, assisting with mobility and transfers and supporting with clinical tasks, including management of a PEG feeding tube
You will work according to the support plan.

To be able work within the client’s home, and as part of a team.
To be able to follow instructions/guidelines.
To be versatile in approach, energetic and affable.
To provide physical assistance for transfers and personal care.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
To complete written support worker notes
To develop and maintain effective communication with the client, their family and the team.
To be available for regular supervision.
To complete training in relevant areas.

ESSENTIALS

Experience with working with people. Experience in care desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.
