Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd for an experienced Capital Projects Planner / Scheduler to support its capital investment portfolio at the Greatham site in Hartlepool.
  
Offering the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from development and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. You will work closely with project teams, engineering, operations and contractors to develop reliable schedules, monitor progress and support successful project delivery.
  
Project Scope

Developing and maintaining detailed, logic-linked project schedules, including milestones, dependencies and critical paths.
Establishing project baselines and assessing the schedule impact of approved changes.
Monitoring physical progress and producing look-ahead plans, milestone forecasts, progress reports and variance analysis.
Identifying schedule risks, constraints and potential delays, and supporting mitigation and recovery plans.
Reviewing and integrating contractor, vendor and engineering schedules into the overall project programme.
Supporting construction, plant outage and shutdown planning, coordinating interfaces with Operations and Maintenance.
Assessing resource requirements and highlighting conflicts or capacity constraints across the capital portfolio.
Maintaining schedule quality and supporting readiness reviews at key project stages. Experience Required

Significant planning and scheduling experience within capital projects, engineering, construction or process manufacturing.
Experience developing detailed project programmes and integrating multiple contractor and vendor schedules.
A strong understanding of critical path analysis, schedule logic, float, constraints and progress measurement.
Knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
Advanced scheduling software capability, ideally Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills.
An understanding of project controls, earned value, cost forecasting, change management and risk management.
The ability to challenge contractor schedules constructively and communicate clear, concise progress information.
An HNC/HND, degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline. Experience supporting shutdowns or outages in an operational manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would SAP experience and recognised planning or project controls training.
  
You should be analytical, organised and collaborative, with strong attention to detail and a practical approach to solving problems
