Working closely with senior hospital leaders, consultants and their secretaries, you'll build strong professional relationships while helping to maximise theatre and outpatient capacity. Spire Bristol Hospital is looking for a motivated and reliable Capacity Manager to join our hardworking Operations team on a part time Permanent basis.

About the Role

As a Capacity and Utilisation Manager, you will oversee the planning and coordination of outpatient, theatre, cardiac catheter lab and endoscopy activity across the hospital. Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate theatre, outpatient, endoscopy and cardiac catheter lab capacity to maximise utilisation
Communicate available sessions and capacity updates with consultants and their secretaries
Build and maintain strong working relationships with consultants, secretaries and key stakeholders
Act as a central point of contact for theatre list allocation and session management
Support the allocation of fixed and ad hoc theatre sessions to achieve optimum utilisation
Work closely with wards, theatres, outpatient nursing, endoscopy and pre-assessment teams to ensure resources are available for planned activity
Analyse utilisation reports and data to identify opportunities to improve capacity management
Attend and lead utilisation meetings where required
Identify and resolve capacity challenges through effective planning and stakeholder engagement
Contribute to reducing waiting times from referral to treatmentContract: Permanent - Part Time

Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 28.5 hours per week

Who we're looking for:

Previous experience within healthcare or a customer-focused operational environment
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and work collaboratively towards shared objectives
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
Demonstrable problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Confidence analysing and interpreting data accurately
Good IT skills, including Excel, Outlook and patient administration systems
GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications
Professional, reliable and adaptable approach to work
Ability to communicate effectively with consultants, clinical teams and senior leaders
Comfortable taking ownership of challenges and driving solutions
Previous healthcare experience is beneficial but not essential; we also welcome applications from candidates with strong customer service experience who are keen to develop a career within healthcare.Benefits:
