CAM Engineer
Newbury

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAM Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Newbury. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in CAM programming and manufacturing who is looking for a long-term position within an established engineering business.
CAM Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
* Preparing and processing customer PCB data for manufacture
* Using CAM software to prepare manufacturing data
* Reviewing Gerber files and engineering data
* Checking customer data and identifying any issues before production
* Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation
* Working closely with production and engineering teams
* Supporting the production process with technical queries
* Ensuring data is prepared accurately and to the required standards
* Identifying and resolving manufacturing issues
* Working to IPC standards and company procedures
CAM Engineer Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in a CAM Engineer / CAM Technician role within electronics manufacturing
* Experience working with PCB manufacturing data
* Good understanding of Gerber files and PCB design/manufacturing processes
* Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Experience working to IPC standards would be beneficial
