Description:
The role:
Understand customer projects, develop requirements and configure test & validation systems.
Build up and maintain a test and validation facility configuration library.
Plan and prioritise system configuration requirements on appropriate test facilities to meet project team and project objectives.
Manage data sets, database and version control to comply with retention and IATF16949 audits compliance requirements.
Compile technical reports and presentations citing clear analysis and summaries for decision making.Skills/Attributes:
Ability to translate mechanical into controls requirements.
Self-starter, proactive and results driven.
Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks concurrently.
Technically inquisitive.Experience:
Experience of working with FIE calibration.
Excellent communications skills, with ability to present information at management level.
Significant product knowledge for FIE components and systems.Desirable:
Educated to a minimum of degree level in Automotive, Mechanical or Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics or similar.
Calibration, software, or system development and validation experience in a power train development environment.
Exposure to mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components and electro-mechanical products.
Understanding of hydraulic systems.
Sound mechanical understanding of fuel injection equipment and fluid dynamics.
