CAD/BIM Engineer

We are seeking a talented and collaborative CAD/BIM Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that positively impact communities and the built environment, while supporting our commitment to sustainable design and development.

Working within a friendly and supportive studio environment, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, education, commercial, regeneration, and mixed-use developments. You will play a key role in transforming design concepts into accurate technical drawings and BIM models, helping to deliver high-quality projects from concept through to construction.

The Role

As a CAD/BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining detailed technical drawings and BIM models that support architects, engineers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle. You will ensure that all project information is coordinated, accurate, and compliant with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.

This position offers the opportunity to work with both private and public-sector clients, contributing technical expertise and supporting the successful delivery of a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models using software such as AutoCAD and Revit.

* Develop, update, and revise technical drawings in line with project requirements and design changes.

* Assist in the preparation of planning application drawings, technical packages, and construction documentation.

* Coordinate drawing information with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure consistency and minimise design clashes.

* Maintain BIM standards, drawing templates, and project libraries.

* Ensure all drawings and models comply with company procedures, industry standards, and relevant regulations.

* Support project teams with technical documentation, plotting, printing, and document management.

* Provide technical assistance and BIM support to design and project teams as required.

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD and BIM processes across the practice.

About You

* Previous experience as a CAD Engineer/Tech, BIM Tech/Engineer, or similar technical design role.

* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience producing detailed technical drawings and BIM models.

* Strong understanding of construction documentation, design coordination, and industry standards.

* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

* Experience working on projects within sectors such as residential, education, commercial, or regeneration would be advantageous.

* A proactive approach with a willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to team success.
