Role- Cad Engineer/Estimator
Location- Hull
Hours- Mon- Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm Fri 7.30am-12.00
Salary- Negotiable depending upon experience £32-40k + benefits
My client is a leading Subcontract precision Engineering company, specialising in Fabrication and sheet metal work. Supplying several sectors from Aerospace, defence to medical and Industrial Equipment.
Currently looking for someone experienced in Cad Engineering and Quotations, The main focus of the role is the Cad, the quotations side can be trained.
Duties will involve –
* Day to day, You will be formulating quotations and creating estimate costs from costing each component from reading CAD or engineering drawings. The role is centred around identifying the most suitable and cost-effective process route to manufacture components via internal capabilities and sub-contract operations.
* Taking Customer requests for Quotations and recording onto Company ERP System
* The position will develop into the programming and Nesting of components for Laser and Press machines.
Experience/Qualifications
* Ideally you will have a background in Sheet Metal work
* Experience of Laser/Press Programming would be a distinct advantage
* Experience of Costing and creating Quotations, not essential as training can be offered to candidates with relevant drawing experience.
* Experience of CRM
* Working Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
* Able to work to deadlines
* Accuracy and Attention to detail
