Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (Very dependant on Experience - Graduates will be considered)
We are currently seeking a CAD Designer to join a leading construction materials supplies company. This independent company supplies a wide range of building materials all across the South East and they also have a Steels Department team who design bespoke architectural metalwork structures. You would be part of this successful team.
Please bear in mind this is a technical, computer based design role, therefore you must have either a product design degree or some form of demonstrable CAD based experience. Training will be given but you MUST be able to hit the ground running to some degree.
This is a varied role though with a wide variety of projects to work on and no two days will be the same!
You will asking questions, finding out about the requirements of the project and developing rapport with the people your dealing with whether they be customers, architects or building contractors. You will need to be able to think on your feet and ideally demonstrate sound product knowledge (once learnt) when called upon. As stated, you need to already have strong CAD skills, but the specifics of the construction side of things will be fully taught.
The other things required are a strong attention to detail and a keen problem solving mentality.
