Description:
Cloud 9 have a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Designer to join a highly successful corrugated packaging solutions company in the North West. This is an office-based role where you will be working within the corrugated manufacturing industry supporting the Sales team to create new packaging designs. Main Responsibilities
* Supporting the Sales team in creating new innovative packaging designs.
* Working with a range of corrugated materials to generate solution-based packaging designs and samples.
* Working closely with Sales and in some cases directly with Clients to advise and convert customer ideas/briefs to completion.
* Using Kasemake CAD software to produce CAD drawings of standard and non-standard FEFCO designs.
* Producing samples for presentation to clients and production approval using a Kasemake CAD table.
* Ensure the correct CAD specification files are supplied to customers and Sales team.
* Input all relevant data onto the CAD database.
* Ensure all enquiries and sample requests are handled professionally and in a timely manner.
* Interpret design briefs and create visual design concepts to meet customer briefs, requirements and expectations
* Develop a good understanding of the production capabilities of the company and utilise this knowledge to create the most suitable packaging solutions for the customer base.
* Work closely with internal departments.
* Support all members of the Sales team to ensure an excellent offering the customer
* Comply with company’s health & safety policies and company regulations and procedures.
Experience and Skillset
* Experience in the corrugated sector of the packaging industry desirable. Other sectors may be considered.
* Experience using ABACA software desirable but not essential
* Experience of working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
* A keen eye for detail.
* Excellent time management and organisation and communication skills
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Self-motivated and conscientious.
* A team player.
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of up to £40k DOE.
