W Talent are now supporting a Design and Manufacturing company located in Stoke on Trent who are looking to recruit a Cad Design Engineer. Located in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire my client has gone through exceptional growth over the past few years which has led to additional hires. To apply for this Days based, Cad Design Engineer position you will need to have Solidworks experience as this role is a standalone role.
Job Specification
I am now looking to speak with Cad Engineers and Product Design Engineer who are on the market looking for a new, exciting challenge in the Stoke on Trent area. As the Cad Design Engineer you will provide designs for internal and external customers and creating CNC programmes for all equipment and R&D projects. Offering a functional and innovative solution to customer requirements while incorporating the latest technology and innovations, utilising both traditional and leading-edge materials and products.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Develop the concept through artistic impression via CAD design to CNC program.
* Create programming data for the CNC router in order to manufacture component parts.
* Generate product specifications and data to give support for Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain.
* Work closely with technical services to provide solutions for installation and presentation of new and updated products.
* Provide product specification BOM’s and detailed information in support of Production, Sales and Marketing.
* Monitor manufacturing methods and materials in order to improve quality and efficiency of production.
* Update previous 2D drawings to Solid works
* Review current designs and develop existing products.
* To carry out any other duties as may be reasonably requested in line with the business need.
Key Requirements:
To apply for the Cad Design Engineer position based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire you will ideally hold a Degree in Design, Product or Mechanical engineering with:
Skills and Ability
* Qualification in industrial or product design ideally at degree level.
* Experience of Solid works is essential.
* Camwork or Alpha Cam experience would prove highly beneficial.
* Evidence of testing and proving new ideas and concepts.
* Strong Time management to deliver on agreed completion dates.
