The role of the Design Engineer – Composite Building Products will involve:
* Design Engineer role working on a range of projects utilizing a high quality range of GRP Composite and aluminium building products
* Lead bespoke design projects from initial concept through detailed design, fabrication drawings, installation support and final completion
* Produce accurate CAD drawings and engineered solutions, applying structural principles, loadings and connection design
* Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, Production, Procurement and Installation teams to ensure designs are safe, compliant, commercially viable and practical to manufacture
* Manage multiple projects, programmes and priorities while resolving technical challenges and supporting projects through to successful delivery
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring and drawing reviews for junior designers
The ideal applicant will be a Design Engineer – Composite Building Products with:
* Must have extensive experience as a CAD Engineer within a technical design, engineering, structural or manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of at least of the following; AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or Solidworks
* Knowledge of GRP/composite structures, fabrication processes and structural design principles would be highly advantageous
* Project led with an ability to think laterally
* Strong attention to detail
