Description:

CAD CAM Programmer, £35- £40K, 40 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 06.30am - 4.30pm, Health care plan, 33 days holiday, Permanent position, additional employee benefits, No shifts, Days based role.

Location of the CNC/ CAD CAM programmer position: Accrington

A leading UK manufacturer require a CNC/ CAD CAM programmer to join their team due to an internal promotion. The company are going from strength to strength and has a strong order book with further projects out for tender. The CNC/ CAD CAM programmer would be working with large flatbed 3/5 axis CNC routers manufacturing insulation panels used for vehicle bodies.

We would welcome people to apply who have worked within the automotive sector or within the furniture or sheet metal manufacturing industry as there are a lot of transferable skills.

Duties of the CAD CAM Programmer role

Produce 2D CNC programs for machining panels using programming software.
Ability to read and produce technical drawings and BOM's
Ensure the most efficient cutting programs are produced through continuous improvement.
Build on existing 3D models to develop customer designs.
Develop 3D modelling and designing capabilities with a view to creating designs from scratch.
Deal with production issues when required,
Work closely with the quality team to resolve non-conformities and implement preventative and corrective actions.
Advising customers of materials and products required to repair damaged insulation kits.Benefits of the CNC/ CAD CAM Programmer role:
