Cable Percussive - Lead Driller
London
Monday - Friday (days - 50 hrs per week)
£40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Cable Percussive Lead Driller for a well-established structural / construction materials testing and investigations organisation.
This is a Monday to Friday role offering flexible start / finish times, with additional subsistence for working away from base. The successful candidate will need to based in / near to London.
Main Duties (not an exhaustive list):
To undertake boring, drilling & sampling using a cable percussive drilling machine
To undertake in situ testing & installation of instrumentation into cable percussive boreholes
To supervise & ensure the safety of the Support Operative / any other colleagues operating within the work area
To ensure efficient work practices in accordance with British Standards & Industry Guidance
To produce daily records & journals
Report to the Site Project Manager on individual projects
Experience Required:
Experience of drilling in various ground conditions including contaminated land, SSSI, and managing groundwater
Experience of drilling with various sizes of casing & tooling, 6" up to 12" diameter
Maintenance & safety inspections of CP rigs / drilling machines & components
CSCS card
NVQ Level 2 - Land Drilling, Cable Percussive
SSSTS (desirable)
First Aid trained (desirable)
Full UK Driving License with B&E (towing)
