Description:

Our client based in Farnborough is looking for an Electronics Cable Assembler to join their team on a contract basis. You will be required to produce cable assemblies with significant experience in the wiring and assembly of military multicore cables to IPC620 standard.

Responsibilities

* Cable assemblies, building multicore cables with military connectors with solder connections.

* Backshells and heat shrinkboots.

* Build, assemble and test electronics assets, including electro-mechanical, surface mount and through-hole components

* Fault-finding at the top level and down to component level. Rework of PCB assemblies when required.

* Electronics testing, calibration, failure analysis and report writing.

* Maintain accurate reports of rework and testing activities.

* Execute a range of engineering tests, from set-up to running and recording data.

Skills

* Experience building electronic devices.

* Familiar with the use of electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc

* Through-hole and surface mount soldering experience.

* Ability to read engineering drawings, circuit diagrams and schematics.

* A keen interest in electronics.

* Flexible, multitasking-capable mindset
