Role: Cabin Mechanic
Location: Prestwick
Hours: 5/5/4 shift 07:00 – 19:00
Salary: up to £46,260.00
We are looking for an experienced Cabin Mechanic to join our clients Base Maintenance team.
Working alongside experienced mechanics and certifying engineers, you will carry out routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance, with a particular focus on cabin maintenance and wiring modifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong base maintenance background who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on aircraft maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved procedures and documentation.
* Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset.
* Work closely with leading mechanics and certifying engineers to ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure compliance with tooling procedures, health and safety standards and human factors requirements.
* Identify and report technical findings, hazards and safety concerns.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
What We're Looking For
* A recognised apprenticeship within the aviation industry or a similar technical discipline.
* Proven experience working within an aircraft base maintenance environment.
* Ability to interpret aircraft technical documentation and maintenance instructions.
* Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance production planning.
* Good communication skills and computer literacy.
* Ability to work independently, use initiative and meet operational deadlines.
* A flexible, proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
