Description:
Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Buyer to join their team on a temporary basis. If you have experience in purchasing and inventory management in a distribution environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing a number of portfolio of products and suppliers at a European level. Your duties will include optimising customer satisfaction and service levels, managing inventory plans and purchase orders, and improving supplier delivery performance.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
Pay rate: £15.91ph
Fully on site - No hybrid working
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in process design and improvement to optimise time management
Analyse data and recommend sound decisions, escalating when necessary
Manage all aspects of inventory management and build relationships with suppliers
Track purchase order shipments and take necessary actions in case of delays
Contribute to improvements and cost savings initiatives
Proactively manage supplier relationships and drive improved performanceRequired Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in purchasing/inventory management
Excellent analytical skills and intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated organisational abilities and attention to detail
