Description:

A well-established, multi-site manufacturing business is looking to recruit an Indirect Buyer to join its growing procurement team in the Birmingham area.
This is a broad, commercially focused role responsible for managing assigned areas of indirect and non-production spend across the wider group, supporting multiple manufacturing sites and internal stakeholders.
The company has a  fantastic working culture & staff development is one of its core organisational principles.  It has consistent highly favourable employee engagement/satisfaction scores. 

Previous experience within a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Purchasing or similar commercial role.
Experience purchasing indirect goods or services would be advantageous but not essential
Experience in a similar role within manufacturing highly desirable
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Commercially aware with the ability to analyse spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Confident working with stakeholders across different functions and locations.
Comfortable managing multiple sourcing projects and priorities.
Ambitious and keen to continue developing within procurement
