Job Description
Supporting the Head of Department, deputising for colleagues when required, and supporting junior team members assisting with their training and development.
Overseeing and controlling supplier relationships. Negotiating prices, and terms and conditions of parts, tooling, and equipment.
Managing purchasing elements and control costs/lead times.
Ensuring business plan objectives are met.
Maintaining databases with accurate records and documentation and compiling reports for management.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
Previous experience of purchasing in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Relevant qualification in a technical discipline or relevant professional qualification (CIPS).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of MRP/ERP systems.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
