Our client who are an international corporate group operating in the rail, energy, products and eMobility business segments are on the search for a Buyer to join their busy team in Coatbridge. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Buyer role and will be well-versed in purchasing sub-contract services, within the rail or civil engineering sectors.

Job Description

Carry out the subcontract and tender procurement process ensuring that as a business the subcontractor has everything in place to be able to work with the business.
Preparation of ITT’s, obtain quotations/tenders, Subcontracts.
Complete supplier evaluations for designated procurement exercises as required when bids are returned.
Complete supplier negotiations and post tender/quotation meetings as required to enable short listing of suppliers.
Ensure that projects do not start prior to the contracts being signed and agreed

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Experience carrying out a similar procurement position within the rail or civil engineering industries.
Well-versed dealing with subcontractors.
Strong engineering knowledge/the ability to interpret and see BOM’s (bills of material).
