Description:

Buyer

Warrington / North West

Up to £50,000 + up to 15% annual bonus + £4,000 car allowance

Leading North West Residential Contractor

Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer to join a growing residential developer delivering high-quality housing and apartment schemes across the North West.

This is a business with an active development pipeline spanning private sale, Build to Rent and affordable housing, creating varied residential communities across Greater Manchester and the wider region. The Buyer will become an important part of the commercial and construction team, supporting live developments and helping ensure materials and subcontract packages are procured effectively.

This position would suit a Buyer with previous housebuilding, residential development or apartment construction experience who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment where they can have a genuine influence on project delivery.

Responsibilities

As Buyer, you will take responsibility for procurement across multiple residential developments, working closely with commercial, construction and technical colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

Procuring materials and relevant packages for housing and apartment developments.

Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the right balance of cost, quality and programme.

Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Monitoring lead times and ensuring materials are available in line with build programmes.

Identifying opportunities for cost savings and procurement efficiencies.

Supporting site and commercial teams with procurement requirements.

Attending North West sites when required.

Maintaining accurate purchasing records, orders and supplier information.

The successful Buyer will ideally bring previous experience within housebuilding, residential construction or apartment development. You will be commercially aware, confident negotiating with suppliers and comfortable managing multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.

What's in it for you?

This Buyer position offers an attractive package alongside the opportunity to join an ambitious residential developer with a strong pipeline across the North West.

You'll receive a salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience, an annual bonus, a £4,000 car allowance, 3% employer pension contribution and single BUPA membership following successful completion of probation.

The role is 37.5 hours per week and primarily office based, with visits to North West development sites as required.

For an experienced Buyer, this is an opportunity to join a growing team, work across varied residential schemes and make a visible contribution to the continued development of the business.
