If you know your plants, enjoy buying and want the opportunity to make a real difference, this could be the role for you.
What can I expect?
This is a business with great heritage, but they're changing. The Buyer will take ownership of the plant range at an exciting point in that journey. The immediate buying cycle is largely done, giving you time to step back and ask some bigger questions.

Where can we introduce more innovation?You'll have the freedom to shape the range, develop suppliers and influence how the category moves forward. There's a strong team around you too, so you won't be expected to do everything alone.
What do I need?
Strong horticultural buying experience and plant knowledge are essential.
You'll also need experience of range building, supplier negotiation and making commercial decisions.
You'll have energy, curiosity and the drive to make things happen.
You'll need to be comfortable with numbers, but you don't need to be the spreadsheet expert. There's a very capable commercial team around you.
Most importantly, you'll need to understand plants and be able to answer the question:
"What should a great plant range look like?"

A long-established, family-owned business. They've got a loyal team and ambitious plans to grow significantly over the next decade. They're investing in their online business, their infrastructure and their commercial capability. It's still a genuinely friendly, collaborative business, but there's plenty of appetite for change.
