Location: On-site - Birmingham 

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business, supporting procurement activities within a dynamic supply chain environment. The position will focus on sourcing subcontract machining services, ensuring reliable supply, competitive pricing, and consistent supplier performance within a engineering setting.

Key Responsibilities for this Buyer role:

Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for machined components and subcontract services
Raise and manage purchase orders in line with production requirements
Source and engage with suppliers, obtaining quotations and negotiating pricing and lead times
Monitor supplier performance in relation to quality, cost and delivery
Work closely with internal teams to ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules
Expedite orders and resolve any supply or delivery issues
Maintain accurate procurement records and system updatesRequirements for this Buyer role:

Previous experience working as a Buyer within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment
Strong understanding of subcontract machining procurement
Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Must be a British citizen
