Our client, NW Total Engineered Solutions, has a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, focused Buyer to join their Supply Chain Team. You will have the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of the sourcing strategy for the business and be part of a passionate and determined team focused on delivering results for the overall business.
In this role, you will ensure the efficient and effective procurement of a defined portfolio of goods and services. As a Buyer, you will collaborate closely with various departments to align procurement activities with operational needs. Additionally, you will monitor market trends and evaluate supplier performance to ensure they stay ahead in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
* The operational buying of goods and services.
* Ensuring projects receive orders to the required quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
* Negotiating and developing formal supply agreements and ensuring compliance for an agreed portfolio of goods and services.
* Maintaining supplier relationships to deliver a safe, secure, ethical, and cost-effective supply base.
* Undertaking spend analysis to identify supply side risks and savings opportunities for a defined portfolio.
* Participating in continuous improvement activities to ensure the alignment of the procurement portfolio with business and operational strategies.
What You Need for the Role
Essential:
* Professional procurement qualification Level 4 CIPS (or willingness to work towards it).
* Previous experience in purchasing/procurement.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a close team.
Desirable:
* Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
* Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, codes, and standards.
* Previous experience in the use of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics 365).
