Excellent role on offer for a buyer looking to join a busy, growing company, where you will be working as part of a friendly team, helping to deliver bespoke engineering products to clients across the globe.

Do you have previous experience in purchasing/procurement? Are you looking to work in a fast pace engineering environment, within an ambitious, growing company?

On offer is a chance to continue your career development, working closely with Supply Chain Managers. This is a pivotal role in the business, and includes a variety of responsibility. You will be working closely with a multi-talented engineering team on a well-established site, with great facilities, to contribute to their collective target of increasing sales and driving planned growth.

In this role you will be contributing to purchasing strategies, maintaining stock levels, negotiating material costs, understanding technical documentation/drawings, liaising with suppliers, clients and internal staff, working with an MRP/ERP system and dealing with shipping and delivery of parts/finished products across the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an engineering/manufacturing environment, including a good understanding of technical documentation, have a good knowledge of procurement processes, with good project management qualities, CIPS qualification is a bonus. The Role

Maintaining stock levels, purchasing materials with and without MRP system
Communicate with new and existing suppliers, negotiating cost
Liaising with the team to provide costeffect and timely solutions.

Experience in procurement
Experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment, able to understand technical drawings
Ideally have CIPS qualification
