We are looking for an experienced Buyer to manage supplier relationships and inventory in a cost effective and timely way, supporting production needs in a fast paced environment.

You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the best outcomes across cost, quality, and delivery, supporting overall procurement targets.

Key Responsibilities of this Buyer role:

The Buyer will manage a portfolio of suppliers and day to day purchasing activity
Place orders in line with demand, MOQ, MOV, and lead times
Maintain accurate system data and safety stock levels
Monitor supplier performance against delivery targets
The Buyer will negotiate prices and challenge cost increases
Work to reduce stock holding and obsolescence
Support resolution of quality and delivery issues
Escalate risks and issues when required
Build strong working relationships across the business 

Experience Required for this Buyer role:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Buyer
Manufacturing or engineering background essential
Strong Excel skills (essential)
The Buyer will need to have Purchasing System knowledge such as an ERP system
