Anderson Knight is engaged with a key client based in the Central Belt who seek to recruit the position of buyer. Due to continued growth across the UK, our client seeks to grow their Indirect Sourcing Team.

Reporting to the Director of Indirect Sourcing, the key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the execution of the procurement strategies to meet business goals and ensure compliance and processes.
• Influence and encourage procurement change and engagement across the business where applicable
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies for each function/category including preferred supplier lists
• Identify new suppliers and service providers
• Assist in management of the Approved Supplier list including Risk Assessment and value chain modelling
• Review spend by category and ensure business is meeting objectives
• Ensure job holder recognises the role team work has in the company's success and contributes to this through displaying co-operation and flexibility

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Experience of negotiating best value and managing supply and customer contracts for long term relationships
• Excellent customer service skills
• End to End Management of contracting process
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
