Key Responsibilities:
Identify and assess potential suppliers evaluating quality, reliability, pricing, and sustainability
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favourable payment conditions and delivery schedules
Monitor supplier performance consistently, ensuring quality standards and timely deliveries
Conduct regular review meetings and build strong supplier relationships
Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply-demand
Perform market research and analysis to anticipate changes in availability, pricing, and quality
Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and marketing to forecast demand
Address any quality issues promptly, working closely with suppliers to resolve and prevent future occurrences
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels, minimize waste, and reduce costs
Attend industry events, trade shows, and supplier meetings to stay connected with the market and identify new opportunities
Work with cross-functional teams such as sales and marketing to understand customer requirements and execute successful product launches
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a Purchasing role
previous experience working in a fast paced environment
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Solutions-focused approach to challenges with the ability to meet deadlines and tight timescales
Resilient under pressure with strong time management skills to handle conflicting priorities
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions
