Description:

Our client, a distinguished player in the motorcycle industry, is currently seeking a Buyer for a 6-month contract position. This is an on-site role requiring full-time commitment, working closely with the Head of After-sales Procurement, Procurement Leads, and Senior Buyers

Key Responsibilities:

Liaising with suppliers to negotiate and secure value for money on the company's Genuine Parts and Accessories range.
Building effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high service level in terms of quotations, quality compliance and communication.
Identifying savings opportunities through tenders, negotiations, and efficiency's.
Responsible for the implementation of design changes.
Utilising multiple applications and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and data.
To undertake and assist with projects as required by your manager.

Job Requirements:

Proficient experience in procurement and buying within a supply chain context.
Sourcing and negotiation experience and supplier relationship management.
Strong understanding of stock management principles
Ability to source and manage a diverse range of commodity groups
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience in working within a coordinated global supply chain environment.
Experience within an automotive or motorcycle industry
Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
Completion of relevant degree, achieving 2:1 or above.
