The Sureserve Group, a leading provider of heating, compliance and energy services across the UK, is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious professional to join us as the Group Head of Fleet. This prestigious role is pivotal in maintaining the operational excellence and efficiency of our fleet management across all our subsidiaries, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients while maximising sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
Overview of role:
The overarching role is working within our Business Support team to see that Sureserve Group systems are available, fit for purpose and developed to improve operational excellence and industry compliance. This will be achieved with thorough analysis of Business requirements, recommendations as to the best solution options, and development of technical solutions as necessary.
You will provide a key interface to business departments, gathering requirements and providing technical support to enable the business users to achieve their IT needs. You will both undertake development and configuration of existing systems and liaise with internal and 3rd party technical teams to ensure the delivery of projects as well as ensuring that ongoing support runs smoothly, and major incidents are dealt with swiftly and with the minimum impact to the business.
You will be willing to travel around the UK on an occasional basis in order to support the business requirements.
General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and manage highly available and good quality business and software application services to end users
Perform technical delivery, upgrades, and support of internal Business Systems
Develop, maintain and support a strong multi-faceted reporting & BI platform
Develop, maintain, and support the business databases (Microsoft SQL)
Administration of SharePoint sites across the group.
Setup and configuration of interfaces between customers and internal systems.
Analyse and collaborate with the group businesses to architect business solutions through development, configuration and customisation of the business systems
Drive the effective transition of requirements to delivery ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements for a successful delivery to the business including the management of 3rd party vendors
Deliver all services, development and customization using best practice project management methods to ensure solutions are delivered with the right utility, on-time and on-budget
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, and stay up to date with current developments and innovations in the marketplace to find new efficiencies for the business
Keep abreast of regulatory requirements for our industries and ensure systems are configured to support and manage those requirement

Knowledge
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV)
Knowledge of MS Dynamics user, server and reporting environment.
Understanding of CRM, HR, Operational, Payroll and any other business systems Sureserve require to develop their core aims and objectives.
Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices.
Knowledge of reporting platforms and database management
Knowledge of database platforms (Microsoft SQL, MySQL
Knowledge of developing integration platforms and technologies such xml/ftp
Knowledge of languages with XAML, XML, JSON, VBA, C/AL, Java, .Net,
Skills and abilities
Ability to understand Business users needs and translate into technical solutions.
Comfortable communicating with users to draw out needs and requirements
Ability to use Microsoft PowerBI to source data and generate reports.
Understanding of Webservices – HTML, FTP etc.
Understanding of Data services – XML, SOAP, JSON, REST etc.
Understanding of Data Migration methods.
Understanding Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Understand of MS Sharepoint Administration
Ability to write SQL queries and use SQL Management Studio
Understanding of one or more programming languages C#, .Net Framework, Java.
Understanding of how to use: MS Project, MS Visio, MS Office, Mind Mapping
Experience
2+ Years working in an IT Development or Support team.
Experience of design and implementation of an IT Solution.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to users and colleagues
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
Strong personal organisation and time management skills
Qualifications (desirable)
Technologies; SQL, C#, PowerBI, Microsoft Dynamics
Processes: Agile, Prince2, ITIL
