About the role

The Business Support Officer role at Pendarren is critical to the successful running of the Centre, providing essential administrative support to the Centre management team. You will play a key role in a wide range of administrative activities from managing bookings to dealing with enquiries and requests from visitors, customers and suppliers and receiving and processing invoices.

As an integral part of the team, you will work closely with the Centre management, instructors, and domestic team as well as colleagues in support functions at our corporate base in London, often acting as a vital link between the two. Your efforts will directly contribute to the seamless functioning of our operations, ultimately enabling us to better serve the community and our customers.

About you

We are seeking a proactive individual with a strong drive to excel in administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent with high standards of literacy and numeracy. You will demonstrate impeccable written and verbal communication skills, consistently upholding a standard of professionalism in all interactions. Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite, financial and other management information systems, will be essential in efficiently managing tasks and facilitating seamless communication within the team.

In addition, you will need to have strong organisational skills, an ability to handle multiple tasks working on your own initiative to develop and adapt your priorities depending on the needs of the team. You will have demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion ensuring the smooth and secure functioning of administrative processes and a strong customer relations focus to ensure that our customers are at the heart of everything that we do.

About the team

Our team at Pendarren is a dynamic group dedicated to providing an amazing experience to the children and young people for some of whom, their time with us will be their first experiences of life outside of an inner-city environment. We emphasise teamwork, attention to detail, and effective communication and as one of two Business Support Officers at the Centre, together you will play a vital role in supporting the Centre’s operations. The Business Support team are the hub of the Centre providing support to staff and customers alike. With an ability to adapt to evolving challenges and find innovative solutions, we enable others in the team to focus on ensuring our children and young people have the best possible experience during their time with us
