AKTON Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Business Support Officer in the Sutton area to join the Adults and Children's Social Care Team.

Brief Description of job role and department
Social Care Support Team
To deliver comprehensive business support service for Adults and Children's Social Care, including support of business and social care processes, customer facing support, statutory, formal and multi-agency protection, strategy, missing, legal planning, public law outline, panels, trackers and child sexual exploitation meetings, in accordance to Sutton's
Child and Adult Protection Procedures. Social Care complaints, subject access requests and recruitment.

Specific accountabilities
· Report to Senior, Team Leader or Team Manager;
· Co-ordinate meetings and Minute taking;
· Ensure statutory requirements and time scales are met;
· Understand personal responsibility with regard to confidentiality, data protection and information governance;
· Assist with recruitment, subject access requests, complaints, file retrieval as directed; · Process the payment of invoices, raise purchase orders and carry out other financial tasks in accordance with procedures;
· Updating and maintenance of data;
· Provide customer facing contact with clients;
· Processing referrals and applications;
· Action correspondence, emails, phone calls;
· Support the management of client relationship and expectations;
· Contribute to continual service review and development;
· Ensure attendance and constructive participation in supervisions, appraisals and team meetings in line with Council standards;
· Complete mandatory e-learning and training

Person specification (knowledge, skills, experience and behaviours required in the role)
· Ability to co-ordinate meetings including statutory and complex meetings/conferences/ reviews/panels/ trackers (Adult's or Children's);
· Ability to take minutes: being able to administer full, accurate and detailed minutes of complex conferences/reviews/panels within agreed timescales;
· Experience of using a wide range of IT packages in a business environment, and to use these to deliver a cost-effective and customer-focused service;
· Ability to work in a detailed task-oriented environment, delivering high accuracy results to excellent standards;
· Ability to use the most appropriate style and method of communication with people at different levels inside and outside of the organisation
