TeacherActive have an exciting opportunity for a Business Studies Teacher to join an excellent secondary school in Plymouth on a temporary basis. The role is part time, however can be permanent for the right candidate. The Senior Leadership Team are looking for an experienced Business Studies Teacher with the ability to teach across KS4 / Key Stage 4 and KS5 / Key Stage 5. You will be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes.
The successful Business Studies Teacher will need to:
Hold QTS with a Business Studies specialism (ECTs / Early Career Teachers are also encouraged to apply)
Have a minimum of 6 months experience within a secondary school setting
Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development
Have high expectations of behaviour, and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly
Establish a safe and stimulating environment for all pupils, rooted in mutual respect
The ability to teach either Maths or Science would be advantageous.
