Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time Business Studies teacher to work at an excellent college in the Hull. This will be 3 days per week (the exact days are yet to be established), and will start in September, lasting until Christmas in the first instance. This is to cover a vacant position, so there will be potential for a permanent position at the end of this role if the candidate performs well and is enjoying their time there. Payment for this position will be paid to the main teaching pay scale depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve teaching Key Stage 5 students Business Studies, and will involve teaching some A Level Business Studies, and some BTEC Level 3 Business Studies. The ability to each another subject such as A Level Economics may lead to additional days being added to the timetable. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be expected in this role, but there is a large amount of resources available on the shared system that will be available for the successful candidate.

This school is located in Hull and has a large onsite car park for those candidates that do drive. It is available via public transport for candidates without access to a car. It is loosely linked with other FE Colleges in the region, so success in this location may lead to further employment opportunities in the area. Having a large cohort most years for Business Studies, it is a popular role that is well liked by the students that undertake the course. There is an experienced Head of Department that is happy to help less experienced teachers, so applications from recently qualified teachers are encouraged.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience working within schools in the UK.
Has experience teaching Business Studies to at least KS4 students
Has experience delivering the Read, Write, Inc specification (desirable)
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the full CV History
